Piecing a quilt is like putting one's life together—a rectangle here and a triangle there and before long a beautiful fabric comes alive before your eyes. We audition every fabric we choose with care that each will compliment the other to bring forth the harmonious spirit of our creation. This is a labor of love. Each quilt is an heirloom to someone.

Some quilts are made to honor those we loved and are no longer with us, and many others are made to mark special occasions in our lives, the birth of a new baby, etc.  And many of us even wear garments made from quilts. The last step is the stitching, or quilting it together to unify this creation into its finished state. This, too, is very special, for without the threads to hold it together it is unfinished and its new life is incomplete.

Let there be no unfinished love items in your sewing room. Get it quilted by someone that will have great pride with having been a part of helping make a beautiful quilt. Each is very special and just waiting to become a member of a loving family.
