I have always loved horses. When I was quite young my Grandfather Ufford
used to sit on our front porch and draw horses for me with pencil. He
never finished the legs by drawing the hooves on them. I was
disappointed and said when I could draw them I would put on the hooves. I
used to sketch, people with interesting profiles, when in long meetings.
In 1980 my friend Rozella Boman encouraged me to learn to paint. I took
lessons from Nancy Green to learn how to mix paints and paint with
oils. I painted through the 1980's and into the early 1990's. Enjoyed
doing it very much. All my children have pictures of mine and I have
sold some and given some away. Sarah Davis
